HAWC 2009: July 17-18, 2009

Thank you to everyone who attended the 2008 Harriette Austin Writers Conference! I hope that everyone had a great time and I appreciate you for being with us. We are already working on a program for next year, so I hope you will continue to check this website for information as the 2009 HAWC progresses.

A special thank you to all of our presenters, dinner speaker Ralph McInerny and keynote speaker Sharyn McCrumb who made this a wonderful event! And to all the many volunteers who make this conference possible each year. Your dedication is the heart of this conference.

And finally, thank you Harriette, for sharing your vision of helping writers get published. We are grateful that you continue to inspire writers on their journey to success. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your dream.

This year 154 manuscripts packets were submitted for evaluation. Over a dozen were nominated for special recognition. Out of those nominees the following awards were chosen:
